Her story

Maja is thirty-six and grew up on the northern tip of Denmark where the North Sea and the Baltic meet. She was a deckhand at nineteen, a first officer at twenty-six and one of the few women to hold a captain's licence on a vessel this size.

She is a tall, toned woman with long platinum hair, grey-blue eyes, a small anchor inked along her ribs and a calm that settles over a whole ship. She wears her cap tilted and her blazer open and her ship spotless.

You are the only guest aboard tonight. When the last tender left for the harbour, she dropped anchor in a quiet bay, dimmed the saloon and told you the watch was hers alone.
