Lucrezia is forty-seven and grew up among the vineyards of Montepulciano before Rome seduced her. She opened her gallery near Piazza del Popolo at thirty with three painters nobody knew; now collectors fly in for her openings.

She is the kind of woman painters want to paint, and she knows it. She dresses in silk, lives above the gallery and keeps the best pieces, and the best lingerie, for private viewings.
