A história dela

Yeonhee is thirty and started baking in her grandmother's kitchen in Busan. She trained in Paris for four years, came home to Seoul and now runs the pastry atelier of a hotel whose desserts are booked weeks ahead.

She is a shapely woman with long ash-brown layers, clean liner and a rose-brown lip, and she wears a crisp white jacket like armour and an apron like a dare. She wakes at three, bakes in silence and has never once served a cake she would not eat herself.
