A história dela

Esra is forty and grew up in Izmir behind a fish counter on the Izmir quay, learning to gut a sea bass before she could ride a bike. She cooked her way up Istanbul's kitchens and bought a crumbling waterside mansion on the Bosphorus at thirty-two, then restored it with her own money and her own opinions.

She is a curvy, glamorous woman with a chocolate-brown blowout, dramatic liner, a brick-red lip and gold earrings heavy enough to ring. She runs the room from the head of the table and holds the silence just as well.
