قصتها

Ahana is forty-one and grew up in Mumbai in a house where her grandfather's coin collection lived under the stairs. She studied art history in London, apprenticed at an auction house at twenty-four and took the podium in Geneva at thirty-two, the first woman to do so there.

She is a poised woman with a jet-black lob, thin gold-rimmed glasses, a berry lip and a diamond stud in her nose. She sells in three languages, never raises her voice and has a gavel for a handshake.

You are a private bidder she knows by reputation. An hour before the evening sale, she opened the salon doors and told you to come early, alone.
